You’re correct in that I don’t usually have much downtime. But, when I do, I enjoy dry and subtle comedies.

If I laugh more than five times per movie I want my money back. Dry. A desert of laughs. A dessicated wasteland of wry smirks.

Apologies for the radio silence, I’ve been on a well deserved vacation.

It doesn’t matter the quality of Mina Mongoose’s music (by the by, DISAGREE), the thing that made him react harshly was the message. You can’t throw concerts and create albums specifically themed around how much Robotnik is the worst and expect him to react with good cheer.

“Oh, yes, Miss Mongoose, thank you ever so for the lovely song about how much I smell, quite appreciated the rhythmic beats and the melodies.”

Personally, I wouldn’t think I’d have gone after her like that. Logically, doing so only strengthens her fanbase. And, also, if the bounty bunter had succeeded in killing her that one time, well. Instant high profile martyr.

Then again no one’s made a concept album entitled Snively Sucks just yet. So, I suppose I can’t really speak from a position of authority there.

I learned how to stand at attention for very long periods of time.

Actually I think you may have an incorrect impression of military school. It’s not that different from other types of private schools. I mostly took engineering and computer science courses. There was, of course, an underlying emphasis on military history, structure, self discipline and teamwork. The latter was not, um, my strong point.

And we were required to participate in at least one sport. I did hockey.

We were also required to sign away our lives to at least five years of military service after graduation, but I weaseled out of that by skipping town and country.

Not at all, these questions are better than what I normally receive, IE tons and tons of abuse.

Honestly, it really depends upon the situation. Weighing my options. Is being emotionally honest with another person worth it or not? It’s usually not. It was easy with Regina, having so much in common. But on average I tend to keep it a secret. Telling people how you feel? Egad, no thank you. I don’t need more opportunities for rejection!

Then it’s just a matter of squashing the feelings down into a bitter little ball in my guts next to all my other bitter little piles of feelings I’ve accumulated throughout a lifetime.

My blood is probably black at this point.

Have you SEEN the rest of my family? I could maybe tolerate a gigantic, amazonian daughter, but the rest of the men in my family are built like linebackers, and tend to be, ah, overly aggressive. So. 

And what if he was small and bitter like me? Also intolerable.

Really, I’m trying to picture the father-son picnic sack races… The outcomes are all suboptimal.
